While Monday through to Friday may be all work and no play, the weekend is a time to slow down and rejuvenate. We understand on lazy days it can be hard to find the strength to get up, get dressed and leave home, so here at homebodii we have put together a list of weekend activities that you DON’T have to get dressed for ... sounds kind of perfect doesn’t it?

Movie Marathon

Would it really be the weekend if you weren’t binge watching your favourite TV shows? Picture this … clean sheets and a warm coffee, snuggled in your Piping Long Sleeve PJ set for hours on end - yes please! We recommend The New Girl, Game of Thrones, Gossip Girl or The Handmaid’s Tale to keep you entertained and bedridden in the best way possible.

Reading

Nothing like some R&R before starting the working week all over again. At homebodii we know the cold is no motivation to get moving, but rather an enticement to stay in bed. Reading is the perfect antidote to your restless Sunday, stimulating the mind with little effort needed - and there’s no need to get out of your Talulah Boho Cami Set to do it. We suggest Gone Girl, Jane Eyre, Fifty Shades of Grey or Outlander for an interesting read.

Journaling

Journaling is an art all too forgotten in modern day, there is nothing quite like putting a pen to paper and letting the world flow through. Grab a cup of coffee and a blanket in the sun, and tell your journal all there is know about you right now.

Painting

There’s something therapeutic about painting. Let your inner child free this weekend and gift yourself the freedom to get a little messy - create something new.

Self-care

Self-care is all too easy to neglect with the busy hustle and bustle of the working class woman. Take time out of your day off to nurture your mind and body. Wake up slowly with a warm lavender bath, followed by a free-flowing robe - we suggest the Olivia Robe, and a face and hair mask to finish. You’ll never love yourself more.

Cooking

Now we don’t mean any old breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try something new today; baking, meal preparation, a health packed spread to start or end the day. Get creative with what you fuel or treat your body with. Plus, there’s no need to be wearing pants while doing it!

If you found these tips useful, or have some weekend activities of your own you'd like to share, we'd love to hear from you in the comments below! X
