Homebodii Bride of the Month: Amy Oliver
A little about me...
My name is Amy Oliver, and I’m an interior designer working in my family’s business. I have a passion for cooking, travel, and all things design. On August 31, 2024, I married my best friend in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, surrounded by the people we love most.
Our approach to planning the wedding was…
Our priority was creating an unforgettable experience for both us and our guests. We wanted our day to be filled with love, joy, and energy. Where every detail, from the food and drinks to the styling and vendors, felt intentional and timeless. Our vision was to create a celebration that truly reflected who we are.
The most unexpected part of the day was.
The weather turned out to be the warmest day of winter! We had planned for a cool winter wedding, but despite the unexpected heat, it couldn’t have been more perfect.
A word of advice to new brides would be…
Enjoy every part of the journey, especially the little details. From choosing your wedding dress to selecting your songs and asking your best friends to be your bridesmaids, each moment is so special. Make time to savour these experiences because they’re all beautiful. When things feel overwhelming or stressful, remember why you’re doing this. And don’t forget to involve your loved ones. Trust me, they’ll want to be part of it, and including them will make the entire experience even more meaningful.
My Homebodii moment was special because and I wore…
I wore the Sian Slip and Helena Robe while getting my hair and makeup done, and it gave me the confidence I needed on such an unforgettable day. It was the perfect choice, making me feel elegant and timeless.
