At Home with Homebodii: Beck Stevens
The lovely Beck Stevens is a TV presenter on Channel 7's Sydney Weekender often appearing alongside husband Jason Stevens as husband and wife presenters. Beck has the amazing job of traveling around Sydney, experiencing the best restaurants, cafes, and activities the beautiful city has to offer. The former model, now presenter and fashion stylist has been on screen in television work and commercials for many years, where you can see her bubbly personality certainly shine through.
Homebodii was so excited to talk to Beck about presenting, fashion, and being at home.

Tell us a little how you got involved in Sydney Weekender.
I grew up in Wollongong on the South Coast and took many years of drama and singing classes... I adored the stage and acted in many stage plays and musicals. From there, I appeared in many television commercials and also worked as a voice over artist. I soon realised there was a limited amount of work down South so I made the move to Sydney and continued television work and Fashion Styling (my other love)! When I met my husband Jason (ex-Rugby League Player) in 2008 he was already working in the entertainment industry and after we were married in 2010 and our wedding was featured on ch7's Sunday Night program, we were given our own reality segment on The Matty Johns Show called "What's Shakin with the Stevens". From there, we were offered the fabulous role as Husband & Wife Presenters on Sydney weekender. We really love working together (which is quite rare)! I think it helps that we laugh a LOT!
What has been your favourite place to eat or visit in your travels?
There have been so many amazing restaurants and cafes that we have visited but I'm such a coffee girl and I truly loved this little pop up cafe in Bella Vista in The Hills that Jase and I visited last week called 'Lil Miss Collins Pop Up'!! The owners were two Lebanese brothers that have this incredible Barn House type outdoor cafe and their food is all locally grown! Their Mediterranean breakfast is just delicious!! I also loved our time Jet skiing in Port Stephens where we were in the middle of the ocean and there were dolphins riding the waves we were creating! It was pretty spectacular!
What is your ultimate fashion tip?
Looking fabulous is about knowing what looks good on you!! It's about playing up your best assets and camouflaging the ones you don't feel too confident about. Know your body shape and you have to come to a place where you accept it. I know this is a challenge for us all!
What item can't you live without?
My bible!
How would you describe your morning ritual?
I love the outdoors so after I've had a nice cuppa and some quiet time reading I walk along The Esplanade in Cronulla where we live. It's so nice to get out in the sunshine now that the weather is warming up! I will then grab a coffee of course on the way to whatever i have planned for the day!!

How would you describe your bedtime ritual?
I always take my make up off and use a cleanser before bed. Obviously my choice of sleepwear is essential and I love wearing different sets every few nights. I am loving Homebodii's floral Vivian Pyjama Set at the moment! I really enjoy watching TV or a DVD to wind down after a busy day.
What is your favourite thing about being at home?
Spending time in cronulla at home with my husband is the best. We love movies so we watch a great deal of DVD's. My husband is a Screenwriter so it is very fitting that we do this. I also have a big sweet tooth so I love baking... I cook brownies with choc chips and I love the smell in the house when they are baking... YUM!!
What book are you currently reading?
Jodi Picoult LEAVING TIME!! Obsessed with her novels!
Which Homebodii garment best suits your personality?
The Suzette Lace Dress is just divine and I love the high neck detail - it reminds me of a romantic fairy-tale ending movie and I'm a huge Disney fan so I'd have to say this dress is me!
