Inside Model and Entrepreneur Alex Ford's Wedding

A little bit about me…
"I was a model for 15 years and lived in Europe for the most part of my adult life. I have a beautiful son who is now 6 years old and decided to move when he was 10 months old because I couldn’t imagine raising him anywhere else but home in Australia. I moved away from modeling and became a model agent which I absolutely loved but had been juggling that and a tequila company, Volando that I am a partner in and have recently moved full time into that as Creative Director- exciting times."

Looking back on the day we are so glad that we…
"Did things exactly as we wanted."

Our approach to wedding planning was...
"To keep things simple and enjoy the process."

The most unexpected part of the day was.…
"Stevie (my husband) wrote vows to Dias (my son), it was truly beautiful. The beautiful piece of jewelry my bridesmaids, maid of honor and brides-man (my brother) gave me right before I walked down the isle."

My Homebodii moment was special because…
"I looked at my bridesmaids and they just looked and felt like angels. I wore the most beautiful long sheer gown with a white corset underneath and I just felt so special wearing it. Frolicking around the gardens drinking champagne with my best friends - it was magical. Plus the team at Homebodii were just so helpful and ensured my girls and I had everything we needed on time, forever grateful."

My inspiration for my hair and make up...
"Natural, bronzed and dewy with hair down, and undone."

When I look back on the day now I feel….
"Like the luckiest girl in the world."

A word of advice to new brides would be….
"It can be a beautiful time that gets lost in stress so be organised and start quite far ahead of your wedding date so that you can enjoy the process. I wanted everything done a few weeks ahead so I could just enjoy the lead up to it."
